What are some earth-friendly or green cosmetic brands?
I'm looking for something that I can purchase at Wal-Mart or Target.....What are some earth-friendly or green cosmetic brands?
I don't think they sell earth-friendly cosmetics at those stores.....some brand names that i use are avalon organics, burt bee's (target might have some of this brand), and if there's a macy's near you (it's a little more expensive) - ';philosophy'; is a great skin-care/makeup line - if your stores don't have these brands you can always order them online - usually you can find a website with either free shipping or sales to even out the shipping expense - the website i use is gaiam.com - they also have household products, cleaning products and organic clothes....What are some earth-friendly or green cosmetic brands?
i do not think that either of the stores you mentioned carry ';green'; cosmetics. however, cargo (at sephora) now makes their lipstick tubes out of corn, so they are biodegradable. and target carries cleaning supplies by the brand method, which is great.
There pretty much is none that you could buy at Wal*Mart or Target. However, Revlon doesn't test on animals %26amp; that's at both stores! %26lt;3

If you are asian what are your favorite cosmetic brands?
if you are an asian male or female ... what cosmetics do you use or buy ? what do you consider to be the best brands / why ?If you are asian what are your favorite cosmetic brands?
I love Mally Beauty because her color looks very good on Asian skin tone. Her products do not fade out and makes us look faded out or orange. She has so many different products and it is easy to use. I also like to use bare escentuals because the makeup is very natural and won't causes breakouts. The colors blend evenly and won't clog pores. If you are asian what are your favorite cosmetic brands?

I am not Asian but I was a make-up artist for 7 yr's, I retired a few yr's ago (career change, I'm 30). I have worked for Chanel and MAC. I know you will be very happy with MAC cosmetics. They have color's specifically for your skin color which tends to be more on the yellow/olive side. MAC is sold at Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and Nordstrom. They also have independent stores as well. Good luck and I know you will be happy with MAC.
MAC, DIOR, PRESTIGE, MAYBELLINE AND BOURJOIS PARIS have a wide variety of cosmetics to suit and compliment the asian skin colour. Some of their stuff might be a bit expensive but you will never regret using them.
For me I love the
- eye shadows from DIOR, MAC, No. 7. sometimes I use my blushers as my shadow.
- Blusher from mac, revlon, maybelline
- Lipstick and gloss from dior, maybelline, revlon
- Eyeliner from bourjois paris
- Eyepencils from prestige
- Mascara from dior (diorshow) and bourjois paris (volume clubbing)
- Foundation and concealer from mac and or rimmel
- moisturizer from nivea
- makeup remover- johnson baby oil and or/ garnier
For me personally I dont stick with any one brand. I look for products and colours that suit me. Brand for me is secondary. Go for good quality stuff that suits your skin tone even if the brands are different.
';Max factor'; n ';L'OREAL';
expensive but high quality.

Why is it that a lot of cosmetics brands don't produce shades for darker women?
In the winter I can use the darkest light shade, but in the summer I have to search, search, search for a nice warm caramel foundation. I think about 1 in every 4 makeup lines (drugstore at least) carry colors for women darker than ';tan';. I HATE MAC, so don't tell me to use their stuff, it breaks me out to high hell. Why is it that a lot of cosmetics brands don't produce shades for darker women?
I'm not a woman of Color, but I do know the reason for this is that all companies have a certain demographic. They have people that find out for them who will be purchasing the most of the product, and instead of wasting money on colors that won't sell as well they just don't make them. In other words it's all about them wanting money and not caring about the customers. Why is it that a lot of cosmetics brands don't produce shades for darker women?
walmart is now carring covergirl for darker skin shades now...i think its pretty cool
well because the majority of their customers are white , so they have to sell to them . I feel you pain b/c im just slightly darker than a brown paper bag , and my mom is chocolate . Both of us have a really hard time finding foundation - hence the reason I dont wear it. My mom even went to fashion fair , which is supposedly for women of color , and bought some pressed powder - the darkest shade they had was my shade .
Good luck !
IMAN is a cosmetic line that seems to be mostly for women with darker skin check them out
Quite honestly, I don't see why you're getting so upset over this... Take it as a compliment, maybe the makeup companies just think that people with darker skin tones don't need the added help? In my experience I've seen plenty of companies that don't produce my skin tone, and my skin is fair as can be. The cosmetic industry is not out to get you, I promise.
Bee Luscious. You should check it out. They have many shades to choose from. It is not drugstore but it is well worth the extra cash. I have many ';dark'; skinned friends and most of them use this brand. Just go to www.beeluscious.com. Good luck.
I don't know but It seems you are right. I am lucky I don't have this problem. I would go to some of their websites and complain. If more darker skinned women did this maybe they would listen.
because our world is shtoopid.
there are some lines that make cosmetics exclusively for women of color, but not many.
ahhh, well.
maybe maybellene will see your question!
girl if you are tan then just get a tinted moisturizer... and go for the natural look with bronzer... if you have a beautiful tan show it off...I dont tan I freckle so bless you golden goddess rockit if you gotit!
GENERALLY
your suppose to apply a lighter shade.
to just smoothen out, not every tone is avaliable out there, so you have to mix to find your shade! im white and IVORY isnt my color!
but you dont need dark makeup. ive seen dark makeup out there
from smashbox to lo'real!
PERSONALLY
most of them dont need the makup!
i cant remember the last black women who needed complete coverage!
they are so fortunate to have nice skin, they just need a translucent
to smoothen out.
complain if you want
but theres reasons
dark spots,
get a concelear.
we alll have dark spots!
noone is perfect
maybe it's because darker shades call for more pigmentation-pigmentation costs money the more concentrated it is :/ http://www.covergirl.com/beauty_products鈥?/a> here's the link to covergirls foundation site-the darker shades in the pictures seem to be mid page and bottom of the page, they have ';the queen collection'; which queen latifah advertises because it's made for darker skin :)

Any brands that are currently popular would be great, thanks. What are the leading Makeup/Cosmetic brands in Japan?

Shiseido is not a brand name to be exact. It's the largest cosmetic company in Japan. It's offfering dozens of brands. Other major cosmetic companies are Kanebo, Kose, Noevir, etc.
http://www.shiseido.co.jp/e/index.htmWhat are the leading Makeup/Cosmetic brands in Japan?
Yes. Shiseido is No.1 share. It is a cosmetic brand name too.
I remember top 3 are domestic brands.
Shiseido is one of the largest...
but why are you asking? Do you need to bring a gift to Japan?
if so, do not go with Shiseido, because Japanese women can get that for themselves. Go with a western brand that is not often found there, or so overpriced in Japan that they avoid it. French cosmetics would be the most sought after.
(ie, Vichy)
Pretty much the same as what you'll find in department stores in the West: Anna Sui, Chanel, Lancome, Mac, Shiseido, etc.
Shiseido is famous in Japan but they make shampoo and other things as well as cosmetics.
SHISEIDO, i think it's no. 1what in your opinion is bes c ide and
