The best thing to do w/flawed skin is to correct it. That's going to require some commitment on your part. Improve your diet (lots of fruit and veggies) and drink lots of water; get proper sleep/rest and include a good vitamin/mineral supplement. I like CHanel Double perfection liquid foundation. It is oil absorbing, has a SPF and it covers pretty good. Does not look cakey. It costs about 45 bucks.
First use a good medicated concealer like the one below. To cover and treat any acne.

Then use the primer by Bee-Luscious to prepare and cover any redness.

Laura Mercier - a little pricier but worth it. Great for all skin types, wide range of coverage for foundation too.
I just want you to know you don't have to spend $50 on a foundation for it to be good, no matter what other people will say. Covergirl Trublend works super good. But if you have oily skin, you should check out the Clean colllection by covergirl.Their website: http://www.covergirl.com/
