Good luck with your science projectGirls: What Top Selling Brand Of Cosmetics Do You Like Best?

I'm sure you'll get a lot of extraneous variables when asking on an online community like this and it won't look so good when you say your source for the information was the Yahoo Answers page.

But anyways, I'd choose L'Oreal, especially the HIP collection.
Definitely L'oreal, they have maintained the quality of their products and quality of packaging throughout the years.
If you really want to know I'd say Covergirl..

Otherwise I don't use much facepaint lol.

Goodluck! Your very much welcome
Almay

  • What are the leading Makeup/Cosmetic brands in Mexico?

i dunno ask someone on here who i mexican, but ive been there 3 timesWhat are the leading Makeup/Cosmetic brands in Mexico?
Ruth, check out aularale.com/7002. They're fantastic!!

Gals with very fair complexions, what brand of cosmetics works best for you?

Colors vary so much from company to company.....I'm having a hard time finding a foundation that is light enough for my complexion, without being too pink or too yellow. (Guess I fall in the neutral category) My skin is also sensitive and prone to break outs, so I'm looking for a formula that will work with that issue as well.

Just having loads of fun here! So what is tried and true for you?Gals with very fair complexions, what brand of cosmetics works best for you?
i'm pretty fair and i use mark make up for everything. http://vanonas.mymarkstore.comGals with very fair complexions, what brand of cosmetics works best for you?
Usually I just wear a tinted moisturiser by Shiseido, because it was pale enough for me.

On the days/nights I want more coverage, such as a party or other special occasion, I have a stick foundation by Benefit, I found that they had a pale enough colour for me.

I have similar problems in not finding pale enough coloured foundation! Extra hard as New Zealand doesn't have as big a variety of cosmetics as the USA - I order the Benefit one online, have been doing so since my last trip to the US in 2004.
i also have fair skin ( red hair ) and sensitive skin. two brands that i would reccomend and bare escentuals and clinique. both have very light formulas and several neutral colors for evveryone.

What cosmetic and personal care brands test on animals and which ones doesn't?

I'm trying to go green on hair, makeup, and personal care products not just because of attempting to avoid too many artificial/synthetic ingredients, but also avoid ones that test on animals. Is there a website(s) that has a list of brands that are natural/organic and DOESN'T test on animals? What cosmetic and personal care brands test on animals and which ones doesn't?
    Yes!!!

    http://search.caringconsumer.com/

Yay! I'm so glad to hear that you're concerned. So many people don't care, I can't believe it. There are good companies that don't test on animals, there's no reason to buy from the others. Put them out of business! :D

Cosmetic Brands That Do Not Test On Animals,Please?

I am looking into new cosmetics, and would like to know which brands test on animals, and which don't.I know CoverGirl does. But I looked on some lists, and saw some have Maybelline listed for animal testing, and some don't.Please, help!I want something I won't spend much for,and I can buy at Giant or Wal-Mart.Thank you so much for your help!Cosmetic Brands That Do Not Test On Animals,Please?
yay! I think it's great you care! :)

    that should be helpful :)

and about Maybelline: I think you should play it safe. I mean, they're not the BEST out there anyway. Almay is a favorite of mine.

But I'm pretty sure they do test, because Peta's very official and:

If a brand doesn't test on animals, it will say something like ';No Animal Testing'; on the back of their packaging so if you're not sure about a brand, just take a peak.
Almay doesn't test on animal and it works really good! ;)
Revlon doesn't. (they're awesome though lol)

What brand of cosmetics do you usually use?

is MAC good? Maybelline? Any recommendations? Or do you mix them? What brand of cosmetics do you usually use?
As for mascara I love Unstoppable by Maybelline. Nivea has some nice stuff too. I can't use MAC, my skin breaks out when I try to use it. Guess you will need to test your way through the cosmetics jungle. I would just go and try out what works best for you. What brand of cosmetics do you usually use?
mac is only good for shadows, in my opinion. i like lancome, some avon, mark, merle norman, sephora, and smashbox. maybelline has okay mascaras. i do not like bare minerals or mac for foundations... i have seen them screw up way too many womens' skin. physician's formula is a good brand if you have to stick with drugstore stuff.
MAC....sometimes I will buy Maybelline, but most of my products are MAC....I used them once and was hooked ever since!
LAminerals....the absolutely BEST mineral makeup there is. PERIOD! They don't put that bismuth oxychloride crud in it and it's cheaper than BE and better!
    KRYOLAN MAKEUP !!

    http://www.kryolancosmetics.com.au/
    Mac cosmetics.
yes mac is good so is maybelline l'real paris is good try useing that one to. No i dont mix my makeup i know someone who dose though. hope i helped got to go
    MAC is really really good!!

But i do mix them... I don't like Maybelline or Covergirl that much.

I go for Revlon and L'oreal!
Well after hearing about Bee-Luscious all over the radio and reading about it in magazines, I came to Yahoo and it's all over here to and everyone is raving about it. So I decided to try it and OMG this is amazing. You will not be disappointed in Bee-Luscious. You can get it on-line.
Bee-Luscious is the only make-up I use. It is the highest quality as the best prices I have found. Their products are all natural and have no bismuth, oils or talc to clog your pores. Both MAC and Maybelline have these in their products. I would say just Google Bee-Luscious to find them.
i'd go for Maybelline, and i guess by mixing them, u'll get lots of variety, u can view this site for list of other beauty products....

    http://www. 88db. com. sg
Maybelline is good 'coz it's nice and not only that but it's price is average
I suggest using bareEscentuals for your face. It is oil free, so light and looks great. And, it doesn't make you break out. For eyes, you can really use anything you want. Personally, I go to Target and get eyeliner for a dollar or two. Same with eyeshadow. For mascara, you can basically use anything, but make sure that it doesn't irritate your eyes.
for eyeliner you gotta go with prestige soft blend khol... its the best ever and it smears nice but not overly so. if your thinking like MAC id use that if your going out at night but it likes to move on your skin.

mabelline will cause major acne unless you do like a lotion base and around your eyes will get messed up way easily. go with the presige stuff you can find it at walgreens
When I first started using makeup I was into Maybelline and L'Oreal- both of these drugstore brands make some great products that work well together. If by ';mixing'; you mean using L'Oreal foundation and Maybelline Blush, then yes I still ';mix'; my makeup products. You don't always have to go for one brand alone- some brand might make the best mascara in the world but the rest of their products wouldn't be quite as good...so you find another brand for another product- I hope I'm making some sense! MAC is an excellent makeup brand that's reasonably priced for high-quality makeup. If you want MAC colors but don't want to pay the high price, try out NYX cosmetics instead (not n.y.c.) sold at Ulta stores. The brand has high quality makeup w/ cheap prices. I have found my personal favorites in Smashbox, Lola, and MAC cosmetics. Search around and find reviews at makeupalley.com to try out new brands and products! Trust me this website works as I always check out the reviews here first and then go buy whatever- and I'm always satisfied w/ my purchase! Hope this helps :)

What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?

So far, the one I liked best is Neutrogena's and right now I am so not liking L'Oreal's eye make-up remover. If any of you have had good experiences with other brands, please let me know. I use black eye pencil and mascara a lot and they never come off properly. What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?
Mary Kay eye make up remover.. Its Number 1 and amazing. Oil-free Safe for Contacts if you wear them... It won't burn your eyes and its great. If thats not an option, I also SUggest Rimmel. It works great. What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?
you have to try precision by chanel it's about 30$ a bottle but it last long, I love it mascara and eye liner come's right off
    MaryKay.

i don't think they sell it in stores, you'd have to find a local consultant.

    x
wow i was actually going to suggest L'Oreal because i really like their eye makeup remover, but now i'm using neutrogena and it seems to work really well!
Lancome I think had a great gel-like eye-makeup remover and quit making it. That was the best one and nothing has ever come close.

I have tried MK, and it is not bad, but I don't think it dissolves waterproof mascara that well. JMO though, I know others that are very happy with it.

My eyes have gotten very sensitive, I used to purchase the wipes that Walmart sells to remove mascara, and thought they were fantastic, but my eyes get red when I use it now, so I am in the same boat. Don't know what to buy now.........
Lately I've been reading biographies on prima ballerinas and they have to wear a lot of stage make up when they have a performance. Seems to me that they generally use things like baby oil and Ponds skin cream (the old style stuff that comes in the jar) to remove their make up--it is easy to find, not too expensive, removes the liner, mascara, pancake makeup fast and thoroughly and is then easily washed off.
i use Vaseline. literally, the Vaseline petroleum jelly that comes in that little jar with the blue cap... the one that mommy use to rub on your lips to prevent them from cracking.

it takes my make-up all off. you take a dallop and put it on all over your face or just the area of the make-up you wanna take off. considering that you're taking off your make-up then washing your face, the vaseline will obviously feel greasy when you first put it on but when you finish washing your face the vaseline comes right off.

the vaseline can also serve as an alternative to your night moisturizer and since it is petroleum jelly it's pure so it doesn't irritate skin, it doesn't contain fragrances or dyes and it doesn't clog pores. when you get up in the morning, wash your face and proceed with your regular day regimen.

it's definitely a less ';chemical';-ized way of keeping your skin moisturized at nighttime... and at under $3.00 a jar, you can't go wrong!
Cetaphil liquid cleanser = best all over makeup remover (safe for eyes, fragrance-free, oil-free)

Clinique Rinse Off Makeup Solvent = best dept. store eye makeup remover
    lol ???????
    Yves Rocher is the best.
Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover, it takes everything off even stubborn waterproof mascara.
I find that the best eye makeup remover is Johnson's baby oil. It takes EVERYTHING off very gently. It's also the cheapest. In my opinion, no other department store product removes as well no matter how expensive.
Mary Kay's Eye Makeup Remover, it is oil free and washes the makeup off very easily...
    evian, nivea
*goes in bathroom to see what the brand is*

Ahh, yes! Use PONDS Cold Cream!
I really like Maybelline Oil Free, it does a great job, doesn't leave an oil slick on your face, and it isn't pricey. I know what you mean about the L'Oreal ... it doesn't take the eye make up off!!
Baby Oil...it works like a charm. I just put some on a cotton ball and wipe it off. Try it and see!
