They have a list of brands that test and that dont. What major cosmetic brands test on animals?
A good rule of thumb is to aske ';Where is the stuff made?'; Usually a ';made in China'; is a red flag. Why? Because the Chinese manufacturers do test on animals. They don't make any effort to hide this. To them it's like drinking coffee. It's something that's done for business and that's it. However, some companies will come out and state they don't test even though their products are manufactured in China. That's true they don't test but the manufacturers that make the stuff for them do. Understand the manufacturers in China are usually just contract manufacturers meaning they are not owned by the foreign companies. That's how some companies get away with that. They are telling you half truths.
About 2 yrs ago, saw a video where a Chinese worker took and slashed open a chow chow's rear leg and then poured some makeup powder. It was to see if the wound developed infection. btw: the dog was chained and very much alive. Second video then showed a rabbit with it's eye forced open and then a worker would spray liquids into it's eye. I stopped watching after this. I simply do not believe in torturing animals so that some stupid clueless pony tailed girls can afford to buy cheap garbage makeup from China. That's why I only limit myself to USA, or Canada made makeup. Look it took an act of the U.S. Congress to get the tobacco companies to admit that smoking causes cancer, sadly I think the same level of reaction will be needed to stop this cruel practices.
Cover Girl, Maybelline, Revlon, Neutrogena do and so does Garnier.
Not sure about the rest. xo
