What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?

So far, the one I liked best is Neutrogena's and right now I am so not liking L'Oreal's eye make-up remover. If any of you have had good experiences with other brands, please let me know. I use black eye pencil and mascara a lot and they never come off properly. What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?
Mary Kay eye make up remover.. Its Number 1 and amazing. Oil-free Safe for Contacts if you wear them... It won't burn your eyes and its great. If thats not an option, I also SUggest Rimmel. It works great. What cosmetics/skin care brand has the best eye make-up remover?
you have to try precision by chanel it's about 30$ a bottle but it last long, I love it mascara and eye liner come's right off
MaryKay.

i don't think they sell it in stores, you'd have to find a local consultant.

x
wow i was actually going to suggest L'Oreal because i really like their eye makeup remover, but now i'm using neutrogena and it seems to work really well!
Lancome I think had a great gel-like eye-makeup remover and quit making it. That was the best one and nothing has ever come close.

I have tried MK, and it is not bad, but I don't think it dissolves waterproof mascara that well. JMO though, I know others that are very happy with it.

My eyes have gotten very sensitive, I used to purchase the wipes that Walmart sells to remove mascara, and thought they were fantastic, but my eyes get red when I use it now, so I am in the same boat. Don't know what to buy now.........
Lately I've been reading biographies on prima ballerinas and they have to wear a lot of stage make up when they have a performance. Seems to me that they generally use things like baby oil and Ponds skin cream (the old style stuff that comes in the jar) to remove their make up--it is easy to find, not too expensive, removes the liner, mascara, pancake makeup fast and thoroughly and is then easily washed off.
i use Vaseline. literally, the Vaseline petroleum jelly that comes in that little jar with the blue cap... the one that mommy use to rub on your lips to prevent them from cracking.

it takes my make-up all off. you take a dallop and put it on all over your face or just the area of the make-up you wanna take off. considering that you're taking off your make-up then washing your face, the vaseline will obviously feel greasy when you first put it on but when you finish washing your face the vaseline comes right off.

the vaseline can also serve as an alternative to your night moisturizer and since it is petroleum jelly it's pure so it doesn't irritate skin, it doesn't contain fragrances or dyes and it doesn't clog pores. when you get up in the morning, wash your face and proceed with your regular day regimen.

it's definitely a less ';chemical';-ized way of keeping your skin moisturized at nighttime... and at under $3.00 a jar, you can't go wrong!
Cetaphil liquid cleanser = best all over makeup remover (safe for eyes, fragrance-free, oil-free)

Clinique Rinse Off Makeup Solvent = best dept. store eye makeup remover
lol ???????
Yves Rocher is the best.
Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover, it takes everything off even stubborn waterproof mascara.
I find that the best eye makeup remover is Johnson's baby oil. It takes EVERYTHING off very gently. It's also the cheapest. In my opinion, no other department store product removes as well no matter how expensive.
Mary Kay's Eye Makeup Remover, it is oil free and washes the makeup off very easily...
evian, nivea
*goes in bathroom to see what the brand is*

Ahh, yes! Use PONDS Cold Cream!
I really like Maybelline Oil Free, it does a great job, doesn't leave an oil slick on your face, and it isn't pricey. I know what you mean about the L'Oreal ... it doesn't take the eye make up off!!
Baby Oil...it works like a charm. I just put some on a cotton ball and wipe it off. Try it and see!

  • I want to know which brand of cosmetics is cheap and good for wholesale?

i want to buy a good and cheap wholesale brand of cosmetic in usa, does anyone knows which?I want to know which brand of cosmetics is cheap and good for wholesale?
ok for eyeshadows...the best cheap brand that can compare to MAC is NYX and beauty from the earth minerals eyeshadows

For foundation - MAC or cheaper alternative..maybe cover girl..but doesnt compare

For eye liners - HIP by loreal

for best cheap mascara that compares to higher brands is the Max calorie

I want to know which brand of cosmetics is cheap and good for wholesale?
    covergirl
    I get Cover Girl

What other brands of cosmetics has lipstick for $0.99 besides N.Y.C and Wet n' Wild??

Jordana, you can find it at any walgreens and drug stores... It works great for being so cheap! I love it, you should really give it a try! What other brands of cosmetics has lipstick for $0.99 besides N.Y.C and Wet n' Wild??
I'm gonna go with GunnyzSexiMami on this one. Jordana products are actually really good. I have a lot of their lipsticks and the quality is nearly as good as my Chanel lipstick. What other brands of cosmetics has lipstick for $0.99 besides N.Y.C and Wet n' Wild??
I think E.L.F does. It stands for eyes lips face and I think they sell it at target.

Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?

is anything from the ELF brand actually any good?

including make up brushes etc?Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?
its really cheap makeup, i mean its ok, but i dont reccomend it. it doesnt stay on and the makeup globs on and its rele weird. Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?
Cheap cosmetics are ok for beginners, and if you wanted to do a light everyday look. As it gets pretty expensive to use things like Bare Minerals everyday or Bobbi Brown. As for brushes, it is just a matter of you knowing how to work with them, but I find that more expensive brushes tend to shed less. I purchase Sephora brushed and hardly ever have a problem with them shedding, but believe it or not my Bare Minerals brushes shed more and they cost a little more I think. I always buy gift sets so i am not positive on the cost for them.
the cosmetics SUCK but any brushes are universal. anyone can use any brush if they know what theyre doing. if youre still playing dress up, then use ELF. or going to a halloween party. but if you want to look all grown up, id go with a mix: Covergirl or maybelline foundation, ALWAYS use Rimmel for eyes (eyeliner, mascara, color) or Max Factor is also good eye makeup but it tends to get a bit expensive. it also depends on your skin. if it is dry, use a matte mousse foundation or a moisturizing skin creme under it. if your skin is oily, be sure to clean your skin very good before applying makeup. whatever you do, DO NOT USE AN OIL-FREE MAKEUP. it will dry out your skin even more whch makes (dun da-da da!!!) more oil. hope this helps!! good luck
Elf is AMAZING if you know what to look for and buy. Seriously..some of the products are definitely worth the price and I swear to you I use at least 3 elf products everyday.

    Here's what I like:

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance - This is a god send...it's more of a highlighter than bronzer so boo elf for calling it that but it's frikkin amazing. It'll give your face this amazing golden glow that looks natural!

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed Glow - use as blush (a bit) and it looks sooo natural!

All Over Cover Stick - makes for an amazing concealer!...seriously...i have awful under eye circles....nothing works except this stuff. I'm sure Mac or something else high end is better but I'd be happy if I just got this!

Shielding Hydrotint - As an all over tinted moisturiser? I don't know. But as a concealer it's great!

Candy Shop Lip Tin in Frosting Fanatic - Okay this'll scare you its like an orangey goldy colour but on the lips?...Perfect nude golden glow! It actually shows as well.

    Eyeshadow brush - amazing...full stop.

Blending brush - as good as high end ones.

Moisturising lipliner in Natural Blush - perfect nude pink lip

Blusher in Glow - AMAZING...pinky peach glow!

Eyeshadow in Sage - others are amazingly pigmented too but thats my favourite along side mocha.

Oil blotting sheets - 50 in a pack!...great if you're not tooooo oily.

Super Glossy Lip Shine spf15 in Candlelight - I have most of them and love them but i'm a sucker for a nude lip and this is amazing. It tastes great, smells great isn't too sticky but don't use too much otherwise it can be a bit gloopy. very pigmented though..

    What I didn't like:

All over colour stick - tooo frosty...no point to it...now use it as an eyeshadow base.

Shimmering Facial whip - gives an okay glow but i'm not crazy about it...i use it as a base now.

Face brush - I use this everyday but it isn't amazing...kinda scratchy.

Blush, blending bronzing brush - it's okay for contouring but too small for blush.

Waterproof eyeliner - it's looks great but smells funky.

Eyelash curler - I heard some amazing stuff about this but it didnt work on me...maybe it'll work for you.

The eye brushes are definitely worth the money but the face brushes not soo much...i definitely prefer my MAC 187 instead.

    Hope this helped!
    ELF www.eyeslipsface.com

all make up as low as 1$ EACH!.. except for their mineral make-ups which are always pricey. Okay so first let me tell you that cheaper make-ups dont mean that they have poor quality as well. Remember that we have generic drugs which are way cheaper yet offers the same effect..And also other expensive make-up brands are paying too much for advertising and promoting their products through their perfect packaging style but as you can observe ELF uses simple and less complicated packs which are even practical. Person behind this amazing make-up line works for Neutrogena and hard candy products too. Its always wise to start with cheaper brands before indulging into something you might just regret later on. Their brushes are good. Heres a good link to ELF consumers about their reviews and comments on ELF's brushes: http://www.bellasugar.com/677861
If you are a beginner, it's best to see how you work with different colors and such, but I wouldn't suggest that you torture your skin with cheap, bad quality makeup and makeup brushes. Yes, the price is intriguing, but you will be regretting it later! Do yourself a favor and go to your local drug store (CVS, Walgreens) and start off with those brushes.
    yeah it works good :)

oh dude........ they're switching their brand name EFL into just NORDSTROMS so they're selling all their make up for a dollar!!!!!! %26lt;3

go to www.EyesLipsFace.com and order everythinh u need on there

shipping iss like $8 so get more than 8 things and it'll be a good deal :)

i did it:) its awesome :)
Yes, my cousin is a cosmetology student and thats where she get her brushes. She also uses the mineral make up, it looks great on her. Everything is so much cheaper, you should definitely buy from ELF!
    no no no!!!!!

if you want some good make up brushes and make up products you want to buy coastalscents.... i have never had a bad product from them...

What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?

I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend but for high-end cosmetics I would recommend Clinique.

At the drug store I would recommend: Physcians Formula, Almay, and possibly Neutrogena. But the best would be Clinique. What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?
I have moderate sensitive skin, especially around my eye area. Currently for skincare I use Boscia products. They are a bit pricey but really work if you have sensitive skin, and they have different products and lines for all skin types. I usually only wear mascara, eyeshadow, and lip gloss for makeup. For mascara, I wear Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes. It really does the trick, especially if you need lengthening. For eyeshadow, I use Smashbox, Stila, or Chanel. They are both a bit pricey, but very effective for my skin. For lip gloss, I can use just about anything, since the area around my lips is not really sensitive. I use Philosophy, Stila, or Chanel. What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?
I had the same problem until I found Boots. It's mainly available at Target and it is amazing. I tried everything, including the super expensive. Everything in the line works for me and everything has spf which is an added bonus.
Melaleuca has a Nicole Miller line that is fantastic. It is all organic and yes, mineral make-up.

Know any resellers of int'l cosmetic brands here in the Philippines that aren't available in the mall?

Or are there people who accept orders--like for example, they list down the things you want, say from Sephora, and they handle everything from purchasing to shipping... all you have to do is pay them extra. I know, sounds like a weird question, but my mom won't allow me to use credit cards for shopping online!!! I'm actually looking for the Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush... So if anyone's selling any, please do tell me...Know any resellers of int'l cosmetic brands here in the Philippines that aren't available in the mall?
that's a little hard if you can't find it in the mall. the only way that you can find one is to be able to find a person who sells stuff like that, usually those who get it from abroad.

or you can try searching at multiply. there are many online shops in multiply who does not require credit card payments but allows g-cash options, money transfer or even meet upsKnow any resellers of int'l cosmetic brands here in the Philippines that aren't available in the mall?
i dont think there is. try places like ebay that enable you to buy online but you can send a cheque or postal order to the seller instead of giving out your card details. good luck.

What is you favorite cosmetics brand (no MAC we all know everyone loves it)?

Again, no MAC please. And tell me why you like the brand you chose. What is you favorite cosmetics brand (no MAC we all know everyone loves it)?
Pop Beauty! This great little company based out of London and available at Sephora. They have gorgeous colors, but I love them most because of the kits they create. These make makeup application so easy! The Smokey Eyes kit is my favorite, 12 different shadows and liners, all different colors but each shows up very smokey when applied. Also they have the best lip plumper on the market: Lip Smoothie, it smooths all the lines in your lips and actually plumps them quite a bit (unlike other lip plumpers). Have fun!!

    I love Milani
bareminerals for its natural colors and when u have it on it's flawless. no added chemicals?
I keep it simple I like Maybelline
color stay b/c u can get sprayed by a water hose and it wont even smudge
Bare minerals is amazing but very expensive in my opinion. Revlon is the cheaper favorite of mine. I will try anything as long as it isn't tested on animals.
i love bareminerals and revlon, both don't test on animals!
    bare minerals all the way

its really light weight, so it doesnt feel as though you cake make-up on

their eye products are amazing! they have tons of colors that last for a longgg time
    estee lauder, lancome, and n.y.c.

estee lauder %26amp; lancome because they're good old classics. they remind me of old people..but they're so cute and well..it's so GOOD.

nyc. because it's cheap. and chic. i like that the eyeliner only costs 1$, and if i don't use it..or lose it, or throw it away, it's okay. makeup's not supposed to last forever anyways (bacteria..eww)
    benefit! awesome !!
benefit, and covergirl are the cheaper ones i like, other than those ones i like channel and dior
Makeup Forever. And Urban Decay, Too Faced, Stila....
bare minerals i sweat alot on my nose it covers good and last all day they have a complete line of make up on ulta.com and qvc.com or at the ulta store ive also seen it at target here lately to. i have some big pores and acne and it really does minimize the appearence of them. and also know its all natural coming from the ground and all. and they dont test on animals
I love Mary Kay cosmetics because it feels natural on my skin, the foundation gives me a flawless finish, and as a consultant, I receive a 50% discount.
Estee Lauder... it's actually the parent brand of MAC... but it has beautiful shades of everything... lipstick, eyeshadow, gloss... and their face washes, and makeup removers work wonders.
bareminerals because it doesnt feel all heavy like other ones
    iredale
    Bare Minerals
Besides MAC, I'd have to say Benefit and Ben Nye. Benefit has awesome mascara and blushes and Ben Nye has quality products and tons of fun colors.
    Bare Minerals %26amp; Channel
I love Urban Decay because they have really fun colors and the eyeliners that they have are the best, they stay on all day!!

I also love Benefit, Cover girl, Max Factor, and Too Faced.
    Dior %26amp; chanel
LANCOME!!!!!!! its super awesome. has some great eyeshadows..... LOVE their foundations and mascaras........ and some great lipsticks/lip glosses. their eyeline has great staying power as well and they always have offers going on giving away free gifts and makeup bags.. what girl doesnt love free makeup?
    Nicole Miller.

Nicole Miller Skin Care goes beyond the quality and performance of other designer brands. Every Nicole Miller Skin Care product gives you an array of ingredients to help you truly take care of your skin: vitamins, antioxidants, lipids, hydroxies, proteins, herbal extracts, moisturizers, essential oils, time-release technology and more.

You can trust every product to be gentle and non-irritating, as each has been dermatologist- and allergy-tested. In addition, scientists and clinicians conducted clinical tests to ensure effectiveness and results. Women of all skin types rated the fragrances, the packaging, the feel of the cremes and lotions, and the results on their skin.

    You're already using an eye makeup remover, so why not use one that actually repairs and moisturizes your skin? Why not use a moisturizer that has more anti-aging ingredients than most specialty serums? This is the new skin care philosophy of Nicole Miller: to give your skin what it needs with each and every product. Every time you put on a Nicole Miller Skin Care product, you're getting something that's better than what you would find in the store. We call it ';skin care that exceeds your every expectation.';
mac is the most over rated cosmetic line. makeup forever is highly pigmented and vincent longo has amazing foundation
I would have to say Cover Girl and Revlon. I only use eye makeup because I have yet to find a foundation that wont break me out, but I like those too because the cover girl liquid liner with blast lash and the revlon color stay really bring out my eyes.

What do you think of the cosmetics brand Medusa's Makeup?

i just discovered it 5 minutes ago.. it looks cheap.

Lush is in Japan. You'll smell it before you see any of their stores.

Have you heard ancient Japanese speak of it?

I think most people don't talk about it because either they don't know it, or they have little interest in it. But you know crazy Japan. There's always someone somewhere who is a fanatic of something. No doubt there are Lush lunatics in Japan who buy as much of it as they can.

    This should answer your question:

Lush can be found in Japan, but not in Korea. (due to lack of trade agrements, many western brands are not found here0

It is bigger with younger people. (under 35)

Lush has been around in the US for years... it was MUCH cheaper years ago. Their prices triples when they became trendy.

What is your favorite brand of Cosmetics, and why?

I am currently using Mary Kay cosmetics, and I am looking to possibly change my current skin care regimen, and am wondering what types of cosmetics other women enjoy. What is your favorite brand of Cosmetics, and why?
MACWhat is your favorite brand of Cosmetics, and why?
Mary Kay . .The Mary Kay product line consists of many different types of products. Their skincare product line includes anti-aging, cleansers, moisturizers, and lip and eye care products to name a few. Their makeup line includes a vast array of products as well. The product lines Mary Kay carries are similar to Arbonne, another direct selling company in the industry. Like Arbonne, the products are marketed mostly through individuals having home parties. Mary Kay products are based upon the foundation of enriching women's lives. I want to tell you a little about the Mary Kay Income Opportunity from my first hand experience. and I found this site is pretty easy to find a Huge selection of all Mary Kay Cosmetics http://www.marykaydiscount.com/ that might help you..
Well, for skincare. I really recommend Clinique because it is very sensitive to my skin, but still very effective. My skin is always clear, except for the occasional pimple. Otherwise, I use MAC for my eyes and lips. The colors are very pigmented with good quality(no fall out from eyeshadow)
i love clinique. sorry about the spelling. it is a little expensive but it does not clog your pores. it is oil free and fragrance free. it makes my face feel very smooth after and it gives me a nice even glow. i use power and bronzer from there and i havnt had a bad breakout since an i get many compliments on my skin.
I definitely don't stick to just one brand but here are some of my favorites:

    Makeup Forever

    Smashbox

    NARS

    MAC

    Urban Decay

    Shieseido

    Japonesque

    L'Oreal

    Revlon

    Dior

    Stila

I hope that gives you a couple brands to check out. Good luck!
I have used all the drug store brands and some of the mall ones and mary kay! None of them have compared to Arbonne! I am 100% arbonne user now and I am loving what i see every day!
I love Revlon, as they are innovative, are always coming up with new ideas %26amp; keep up with the trends. They're established, have kept their image well %26amp; high quality products.

They are also good value for money.
Avon! Definitely. They have great products and the prices are even better. And whats more, it gets delivered to you door.
My favorites are and have always been MAC, STILA and NARS. I have tried other brands, but always default to my 3 favorites.
i love to get my cosmetics at Victoria's Secret. i know it's expensive, but the products are awesome
Mary Kay - They are really good quality and also my sister sells it so is easy to buy from her.

    P.S. I think you should stay w/ Mary Kay : ).
I like Urban Decay, because it doesn't use animal testing. And it comes in very fun colors.
    My favorite brand is Revlon.

All of their products last all day and I love the colors.
    L贸real because i'm worth it.
    MAC ~ enough said!

What is the best brand of cosmetics?

    why or why not.

    Mac

    Maybelline

    Covergirl

    or L'oreal preferably

    but anyother is fine.

some sold from cover girl products yes because they are

good items also see http://www.covergirl.com or http://yahoo.covergirlcosmetics.com as an dermitologist first !
    MAC!
MAC has the best color selection for eyeshasows lipstick and blush! I love them!!
Glo. It doesn't clog up your skin. My mom is an esthetician( like a dermatologist) and that's what she recommends to her clients.
i like mac..since you only use things for your eyes lips and nails. mac has the best shades for eyes..and for your nails i would say OPI. it lasts a really long time. i don't really know what to say about lip colors i guess it just depends on what color you like.
L'oreal... it has great colors and more formal tones for your eyes
    Im going to say Mac.

But only because almost everything else you mentioned, are usually packaged and manufactured in the same plant in NJ. Along with the more expensive lines in department stores. They are all the same junk... some are just in prettier boxes.

Mac is a newer, younger line and although it can be pricey. At least you know you're not paying top price for something that is just as good as if not packaged right next to Revlon!

    Most deffinately MAC!

Its really your choice, I notice that the more expensive the make up is the better quality. Best is find something that best suits your face, so you dont have any reactions to it. MAC works great for me
i use mac because my skin is extremely sensitive and that's the only make up that doesn't make me break out. mascara though, i buy at a drug store, its the loreal double something... its like a diamond shape, one side is black and one side is a cream color. its the best!!!!!
physcians formula is great i have recomended it for a long time with the talc free formula, however all of those are good.
i hate maybelline eye shadow and any sort of eye pencil products. mascara is just okay. covergirl i hate everything they make except foundation or powder. loreal is probably the one i would go for. mac lipgloss is good too, and eyeshadow from them. i like mac lipglass
    they all are good..
I am going to say Avon products for quality and price. They can be found at www.youravon.com/rmorell.
MAC! Hands down is the best company. I'm a makup artist and my Kit is almost all MAC. The range of products and foundation shades is like no other company. I use almost everything and have a collection totalling over $7,000 of almost exclusively MAC products, over 230 eyeshadows alone. They are constantly releasing new products keeping up with current trends and customer demands. The quality is fantastic on almost every product.

Their motto is All Ages, All Races, All Sexes and they mean it. It's appropriate for women ages 13-70, from the palest pale, to the inkiest black skin. Everything can find something they like.

Are Jordana cosmetics a good brand even though they are so cheap?

Is the Cosmetics Jordana OK for your skin and lips even though they are dirt cheap? Its great to find something so cheap, but it is still OK for the skin and lips? Just wondering because sometimes we end up finding out later that the real cheap stuff isn't as good for us.Are Jordana cosmetics a good brand even though they are so cheap?
I have use some of their products like their nail polish they work great and also their lip liner they work awesome for the price they work ok. I suggest to try them you have nothing to lose. Are Jordana cosmetics a good brand even though they are so cheap?

Which cosmetics brand has the best liquid foundation?

Thank youWhich cosmetics brand has the best liquid foundation?
It depends on your skin type. Clinique is really good and so is MAC. Go to Macys or Nordstrom and look at different brands and ask a sales associate to help you.

Make sure to tell them your skin type(dry-oily), if you have acne, what other products you use, and how you like your foundation to look(think or thin and everything in between) Be specific and ask about their return policy. Nordstrom is GREAT about returns if a makeup doesnt look right or if you have a reaction to it.Which cosmetics brand has the best liquid foundation?
Honestly, people are going to say MAC and I think they have the worst foundation. The best in my opinion is Make Up For Ever. You need very little and it definitely goes a long way. Also some of their concealers have ingredients that help clear acne. Make Up For Ever was MAC before MAC was MAC and MAC should have taken some tips from Make Up For Ever before they branched off to do their own thing. MAC is cheaper but Make Up For Ever is worth the 35-40 dollars you will pay. I have tried every type of make up, every brand, every type of foundation and I have never found a foundation like Make Up Forever. I was using the Mat Velvet which is amazing and I just started using the HD foundation, which is also amazing! I am not one of those people that has to spend a ridiculous amount on makeup but when it comes to foundation I am willing to spend a little more. I honestly can't say enough good things about Make Up For Ever. But it does go on great with the MAC 187 stippling brush.
Cover Girl Tru Blend Liquid Foundation is a highly rated liquid foundation.

I use Clinique face wash and toner.

    St Ives lotion.

Vital Radiance face primer (warm tone).

Bare Essentuals foundation and mineral veil.

And the eyeshadow brands I use daily are: Bare Essentuals, M-A-C, Lancome, Clinique, Revlon, Urban Decay, Benefit, Make Up Forever and a few others that are just fun and funky colors that I only have like 1.

I wear fake eyelashes almost daily. Ardell brand #33 or #45.

When I don't wear fake eyelashes I either use Voluminous waterproof in black by Loreal or Clinique

    gentle waterproof mascara in black.

I only wear blush when I'm wearing either neutral shadows or black shadow. Too much pink with bright eyes can look like a clow. I use either bare essentuals tooty fruity or clinique iced lotus.

    lips- burts bees lipbalm.

    lancome gloss or twofaced gloss.
L'oreal... Lakme suits best for my skin...
I prefer Clinique for foundations and powders, because they're non-comodegenic. MAC for all their pretty colors. No other brand can beat MAC in terms of color variety. I like Lancome's brand image though.

I love Mary Kay, Avon and Cover girl!! talk about eclectic in pricing...mary kay is more expensiuve, avon about mid and cover girl is the least expensive. They wy i cut my mary kay cost was by becoming a beauty consultant, place a $400 retial order and 50% off for 3 months! can't beat that!! avon is cheap enough to wear i don't have to do that. I use mary kay mostly for the skin care line, although their mascara is to dir for! the rest of it is a mix of avon and cover girl.

Is there a brand of cosmetics named Lush in Japan?

Someone told me that many Japanese people are into this brand but I have never heard any modern Japanese talk about it.Is there a brand of cosmetics named Lush in Japan?
The Lush creative team has been working together since the late seventies when we first started to hand-make our own cosmetics. In 1978 we sold our first product to the Body Shop and in 1988 we set up Cosmetics to Go, in Poole, Dorset, by the sea on the south coast of England, where we surprised the bathing public by inventing products such as Bath Bombs, Shampoo Bars and Massage Bars and built a hugely successful, catalogue-based mail order cosmetics company the like of which had never been seen before.

Everyone makes mistakes. In a series of unfortunate co-incidences, culminating in a disaster, Cosmetics to Go went under and we had to sell what was left of the company.

In 1994 we picked ourselves up and started making cosmetics again. After all, it's what we're good at. Our first shop was at 29 High Street, Poole, where it is to this day, and we opened our second in London's King's Road. We were mobbed! We grew from there.

Today we have 100+ shops around the world, We also operate mail order businesses from the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan.

We hand-make our cosmetics in Europe, Canada, Australia, South America, Singapore and Japan, in our own production facilities, so that every product available in our shops or sent to you by mail is as fresh as it can possibly be because fresh products work better and use fewer preservatives.

Our aim is to have the youngest, freshest products in the historyIs there a brand of cosmetics named Lush in Japan?

Their values statement is, ';We believe everyone has the right to earn a fair wage, child labor should be abolished, amazing natural ingtredients should be celebrated and no animal should be tested on.';

http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/What Cosmetic Brands In Australia Are NOT Tested On Animals??
The body shop don't do any animal testing.
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural and has awesome wear-ability, but please not bare minerals! There products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!

Bismuth (IPA: [藞b瑟zm蓹胃]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.

I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundations colors (one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 4 different finishing powders, choose the one for your skin type! It really works well!

If you need extra coverage try using the light or medium concealers as foundations. They cover a lot!

  • what in your opinion is bes c ide and
  • What are some brands of cosmetic treatment to clear up acne scars?

These arent cosmetic but they should help you out

Lemon juice is effective in lightening the dark spots left by acne and pimples.

First, cleanse the scarred area with water. Soak up a teaspoon of lemon juice with a cotton ball and smooth it over the marks. Leave the juice in place for ten minutes, then rinse.

Be careful how often you use lemon juice: it can have the side effect of making your skin light sensitive. Make sure to cover treated areas with sunscreen before going outdoors.

Here are a few other remedies

    Vitamin E

Try applying vitamin E to the scarred area three to four times daily to help reduce its visibility. If you keep at it, you should see some results after one to two weeks. It takes a long time before you get really noticeable effects.

    Honey and pearl

A useful facial pack for acne is honey and pearl powder.

Apply a mask of it for 15 minutes. If you can keep doing it every week, your skin will become lighter and smoother.

    Tea tree oil

Some medications made from natural ingredients, such as rosehip seed oil and tea tree oil, will not only help to heal scars, but also significantly work to prevent future scarring.

    Leeks

Peel the membrane from white are of the leek while watching TV or resting. Place a peeling over scarred areas for ten minutes every day. You can secure it with a bandage to keep it from falling off. Keep this up for a few weeks and you'll see the color fade away

    Ginger

After cleaning your skin, cut a few slices of fresh ginger and apply to the affected area for 20 minutes. You'd better do this laying down, otherwise the ginger may fall off. It might burn a little, but probably not too much. The ginger may leave behind a bit of redness after you removeit, but don't be too worried. Just wipe off and have a good rest. In the morning, the scar should become smooth, and will hopefully fade completely within two weeks.

    Aloe Vera Plant

cut off a piece and squeeze the goopy gel inside and apply to skin.It lightens and fades scars while fighting and preventing acne.Apply before bed let dry[2-3 min tops]and sleep with it on soft glowing skin in the morning.

    ME

Is there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?

I am thinking of brand name lines of deodorants after shave lotions and such. Are they really that much better then the ';in house'; lines of cosmetics carried by chains of pharmacies, or you just have to pay extra for the brand name.Is there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?
It depends on what you want. Eyeliners the same in my opinion, But everything else I think Brand Name IS better. One day I was trying to find black eye shadow[don't worry, I'm out of that emo phase] and all the brands looked like shimmer or grey when i applied it. I went to Sephora, however and tried there Urban Decay black eye shadow and it was amazing! It turned out pitch black. Foundation is also very important to me and your can tell the difference with the texture. drugstore brands seem to be a little sticky while the ones at Sephora are soft and creamy.

I think a brand of toiletries may be a little silly however unless you sweat a lot and drugstore brands don't suit what you want. Shave lotions...I'm not sure about that one, I'm pretty happy with my Target brand. But face wash i will splurge because you really do see a difference [I used to have acne] with Clinique.

So I think it just depends on your level of expectations on certain products. And most the time you don't pay just for the name, you pay for the cause [i wear breast cancer nail polish that 100% of the money goes to studies] where it's made [i don't believe in having 3rd world countries making things for little money] and last but not least, the ingredients [brand name uses much higher quality things.] So agian it's all about personal prefrenceIs there nay real difference between brand name cosmetics and cheaper products ?
Sometimes the results are better when buying expensive products. If you go cheaper you may develop breakage of the skin or even rash infections. Do your research when applying anything. Or read the back of the product. Some things that are cheap may not be healthy for your skin. Hope that helps!
When it comes to that sort of stuff...I say go cheaper...why pay ten bucks more for the same thing. Are you talking about Polo(example) that they sell in the Mall and at the drug stores?...or are you talking about Polo vs knock off Polo?
You're right you definitely pay more for brand names. Cheaper products are often just as good.

What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?

I would love to know your list of favorites. I am new to the makeup thing since I've been all natural and am going on 23. I'd like to try something different. What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?
Well, different makeup companies are good for different products.

MAC- Blush, lip stuff, %26amp; eye products. I've used their foundations, and to put it simply, they SUCK. They have a nice variety of colors for blushes, whether you want powder, cream, or airbrush (in a can, it's really cool!) they have shimmery, natural, matte, everything. They have a million different shades ranging from matte to shimmery in eye shadows. Their eyeliners are great, they have shimmery eye liners, and all sorts of different ones, turquiose colros, everything! I'm not a fan of their mascaras though, I've tried better. They do have great lipstick %26amp; glosses. Their lipsticks range from matte, glossy, frosty, etc.

Dior- Diorshow mascara, the absolute BEST mascara I have used. Doesn't clump, defines your lashes and makes them look almost fake.

Bare Escentuals- Bare minerals face makeup is great! Very natural looking and it doesn't make me breakout. I have sensitive skin, so I have to be really picky.

Clinique- I love their dramatically different mosturizing lotion, it really does make your complexion look better.

Bobbi Brown- She has great glosses, they smell great (not makeupy, but not fruity junk). Long lasting too.

I hope this helped, good luck! What is your favorite brand of cosmetics?

    I love Nars and Mac

COVERGIRL , MAC, NYC, RIMMEL ect,

    tests on animals.

    thats not right !

    go w. Revlon!
Neutrogena because it keep me looking natural
Since you are just starting out on wearing makeup full time, I would suggest making an application appointments\ at various department store cosmetic counters. Let them give you their tips. Not only will you get a little direction on the actual application, but it'll also give you the opportunity to check out some of the better products. Hope this helps!
    MARK!

I really do use almost everything from them.

I love the 'affordability', portability, and value. I used to use department store brands and a few drug-store brands.
Isa Dora is the best makeup all around it is really expensive but for the price it is really worth it. its been out for a little while but its not like its been around forever like covergirl or anything. there are some things that i use of Love My Eyes or Lips. its a cheap brand, but for some things its not noticeable, like the nailpolish. the eyeliner is good in that dept. but i use liquid eyeliner cause it dries and stays on instead of fading throught the day.
wet n wild has quality stuff for a low price. i've always loved them and covergirl, NYC, and maybelline. hope i helped =]
for a virgin face i would recommed u have a face analysis do determine wherher u have a dry face, oil face ,oil/dry face or normal face.the best prouduct i would go with herbal products like avon, estee,
Mac is pretty good, but kind of expensive for daily use, and kind of over rated.

Actually, I would just go to little Beauty Stores or Thrift Clothing Stores that have make up Aisles, thats where I get my make up...and its just fine. Use liquid eye liner, blush, and little cover up if any!
    covergirl, maxfactor, and almay.
i like MAC, bobbi brown, Loreal, Maybelline. The 1st 2 r expensive but the variety of products and the quality is amazing. The last ones r good ...what we call ...cheap and best. since its ur 1st time try the last ones. once u become an expert in applying make-up u can change. good luck and welcome to the beautiful world of colours...
I like a veriaty.. I like Rimmel, L'oreal Paris, Cover Girl, ect....

What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?

Actually i want the details about various cosmetic brands - toxic and harmful ingredients present in them, effect on human body and other related details.

What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?
    Toxic Cosmetics Ingredient List

Toxic Ingredient Directory: Most of these chemical ingredients are carcinogenic.

    2) 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol) -Causes allergic contact dermatitis.

    3) Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) -A very drying and irritating solvent and dehydrator that strips your skin's natural acid mantle, making us more vulnerable to bacteria, moulds and viruses. It is made from propylene, a petroleum derivative. It may promote brown spots and premature aging of skin

    4) Ammonium Laureth Sulfate (ALES) - found in toothpaste among others.

    5) Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS)

These are used in hair conditioners, but originated from the paper and fabric industries as softeners and anti-static agents. In the long run they cause the hair to become dry and brittle. They are synthetic, irritating, allergenic and toxic. Oral intake of them can be lethal.

    11) Cetalkonium chloride

    12) Cetrimonium chloride

    13) Chloromethylisothiazolinone- Causes contact dermatitis

    39) Mineral Oil -Petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. Interferes with skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging. Used in many products (baby oil is 100% mineral oil!) Any mineral oil derivative can be contaminated with cancer causing PAH's (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). Manufacturers use petrolatum because it is unbelievably cheap.

Clinique is one of the world’s largest suppliers of prestige makeup and fragrance products. In 1968 an article titled “Can Great Skin Be Created?” caught the attention of Estee Lauder and the author Dr. Orentreich was brought on board to help create the first dermatologist developed skincare line.

Clinique was developed for people who have very sensitive skin, and was different from most cosmetic companies in that its goal was to meet individual skin care needs by categorizing skin types. Their products are Allergy Tested and 100% fragrance free. This logical skin care routine of cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize is ideal for all ages, and all skin types.

I usually stick to MAC (which i buy from Myer in Highpoint). I love the MAC foundation (except the smell). With general cosmetics like blushes, bronzers, kohl pencils etc I just go to Priceline and buy Covergirl or Maybeline. I'm not a fan of Revlon as such. With make up brushes, I used to buy at Priceline or Ice Accessories but i got myself the MAC 187 and 190 and i love it, i wouldn't go for the cheapo ones anymore. With lipsticks, I haven't tried them but I've heard alot of great reviews about the MAC ones. Face cream, depends what's your skin type?

COSMETICS and THEIR EFFECTSION THE SKIN

A thorough skin care program usually means using three products: a cleanser, a moisturizer and a mask. An expanded program will include an exfliant, eye cream or oil, a mask and sometimes special deeper treatments.

The quality of a skin care program will highly depend on the quality of the products that are used in the program. If you use poor quality cosmetics you can actually harm the skin rather than repair it. Poor quality cosmetics can irritate, dry the skin out, or block the pores. Therefore it is critical to check the ingredients of a cosmetic and also the quality of the ingredients. The closer to nature the ingredients of a cosmetic are and whether it is organic can highly judge the quality and potency of the product

It is best to avoid products that contain mineral oil, artificial colors and artificial fragrances. You should take into consideration that often any ingredient that you would not put into your body is also an ingredient that you should not put onto your body. Many cosmetics contain preservatives and artificial colors that can be very bad for your skin. An advantage of preservatives it that it can stop the product from getting contaminated, but in many circumstances they can hard the skin.

It is also a good idea to check out the value and integrity of a company producing the cosmetics that you use. It is important to check if they stand behind their product, where they get their ingredients and how the product is manufactured. It is very important to know the quality of the ingredients and raw products, and how much personal care is put on the product. It is very important for me when choosing a product is who owns the company and what are their moral standards. What are the harmful effects of various cosmetic brands on human body?

1,4-dioxane - A carcinogenic contaminant of cosmetic products. Almost 50% of cosmetics containing ethoxylated surfactants were found to contain dioxane.

1,4-DIOXANE MAY EXERT ITS EFFECTS THROUGH INHALATION, SKIN ABSORPTION, AND INGESTION.

1,4-DIOXANE IS LISTED AS A CARCINOGEN.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: 1,4-DIOXANE IS AN EYE AND MUCOUS MEMBRANE IRRITANT, PRIMARY SKIN IRRITANT, CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEPRESSANT, NEPHROTOXIN, AND HEPATOTOXIN.

ACUTE EXPOSURE CAUSES IRRITATION, HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, AND NARCOSIS. CHRONIC INHALATION EXPOSURE CAN PRODUCE DAMAGE TO THE LIVER AND KIDNEYS, AND BLOOD DISORDERS.

2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol) - Toxic, causes allergic contact dermatitis.

Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) - A very drying and irritating solvent and dehydrator that strips your skin's natural acid mantle, making us more vulnerable to bacteria, moulds and viruses. It is made from propylene, a petroleum derivative. It may promote brown spots and premature aging of skin.

Anionic Surfactants - Anionic refers to the negative charge these surfactants have. They may be contaminated with nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic. Surfactants can pose serious health threats. They are used in car washes, as garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers - and in 90% of personal-care products that foam.

Benzalkonium Chloride - Highly toxic, primary skin irritant.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: MISTS CAN CAUSE IRRITATION TO THE SKIN, EYES, NOSE, THROAT AND MUCOUS MEMBRANES. AVOID DIRECT CONTACT. SYMPTOMS: MUSCULAR PARALYSIS, LOW BLOOD PRESSURE, CNS DEPRESSION AND WEAKNESS.

Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) - Dr Epstein reports in his book Unreasonable Risk this chemical is carcinogenic! Also known to cause allergic contact dermatitis.

Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) - Causes allergic contact dermatitis. Contains toluene.

Cationic surfactants - These chemicals have a positive electrical charge. They contain a quaternary ammonium group and are often called ';quats';. These are used in hair conditioners, but originated from the paper and fabric industries as softeners and anti-static agents. In the long run they cause the hair to become dry and brittle. They are synthetic, irritating, allergenic and toxic, and oral intake of them can be lethal.

Chloromethylisothiazolinone and Isothiazolinone - Causes contact dermatitis

Cocoamidopropyl Betaine - CAN CAUSE EYE AND SKIN IRRITATION.

DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), %26amp; TEA (triethanolamine) - Often used in cosmetics to adjust the pH, and used with many fatty acids to convert acid to salt (stearate), which then becomes the base for a cleanser. TEA causes allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin, and could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time.

These chemicals are already restricted in Europe due to known carcinogenic effects. Dr. Samuel Epstein (Professor of Environmental Health at the University of Illinois) says that repeated skin applications . . . of DEA-based detergents resulted in a major increase in the incidence of liver and kidney cancer.

Diazolidinyl urea - Established as a primary cause of contact dermatitis (American Academy of Dermatology). Contains formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical, is toxic by inhalation, a strong irritant, and causes contact dermatitis. CAUSES SEVERE EYE IRRITATION. MAY CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION.

    DMDM Hydantoin - Contains formaldehyde.

Ethoxylated surfactants - Ethoxylated surfactants are widely used in cosmetics as foaming agents, emulsifiers and humectants. As part of the manufacturing process the toxic chemical 1,4-dioxane, a potent carcinogen, is generated.

On the label, they are identified by the prefix ';PEG';, ';polyethylene';, ';polyethylene glycol';, ';polyoxyethylene';, ';-eth-';, or ';-oxynol-';.

FD%26amp;C Colour Pigments - Synthetic colours made from coal tar. Contain heavy metal salts that deposit toxins onto the skin, causing skin sensitivity and irritation. Animal studies have shown almost all of them to be carcinogenic.

Formaldehyde - Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen (causes cancer). Causes allergic, irritant and contact dermatitis, headaches and chronic fatigue. The vapour is extremely irritating to the eyes, nose and throat (mucous membranes).

Fragrance - Fragrance on a label can indicate the presence of up to four thousand separate ingredients, many toxic or carcinogenic. Symptoms reported to the USA FDA include headaches, dizziness, allergic rashes, skin discoloration, violent coughing and vomiting, and skin irritation. Clinical observation proves fragrances can affect the central nervous system, causing depression, hyperactivity, and irritability.

Imidazolidinyl urea - The trade name for this chemical is Germall 115. Releases formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical, into cosmetics at over 10掳C. Toxic. See Formaldehyde

I am a bit skeptical on buying there make-up because its so cheap and I have sensative skin(alhough I've never had a problem with eyeshadow before). I was interested in there cream duo eyeshadow because I never wore cream eyeshadow before and I am starting to dislike powder eyeshadow because I feel like it doesn't do it for me.

I know, sounds like a weird question, but my mom won't allow me to use credit cards for shopping online!!! I'm actually looking for the Too Faced Retractable Kabuki Brush... So if anyone's selling any, please do tell me...Know any resellers of int'l cosmetic brands here in the Philippines that aren't available in the mall?
that's a little hard if you can't find it in the mall. the only way that you can find one is to be able to find a person who sells stuff like that, usually those who get it from abroad.

or you can try searching at multiply. there are many online shops in multiply who does not require credit card payments but allows g-cash options, money transfer or even meet upsKnow any resellers of int'l cosmetic brands here in the Philippines that aren't available in the mall?
i dont think there is. try places like ebay that enable you to buy online but you can send a cheque or postal order to the seller instead of giving out your card details. good luck.

    hope this helps

What are the cosmetic name brands in the Sephora at the Lenox Mall (Atlanta Georgia).?

I'm going on a road trip to Atlanta in a few weeks and want to be prepared when I go shopping in Sephora. I am specifically looking for Plant Love Cosmetics (not just the lipstick), Josie Moran, Korres, Jurlique, NVEY ECO, %26amp; Carol's Daughter. But any more specifics would be wonderful. What are the cosmetic name brands in the Sephora at the Lenox Mall (Atlanta Georgia).?
Lenox is a good mall to go to out here. I know that Sephora and MAC are in there. Here's a site that has all of the stores in the mall... and some of the sales their having ;)

    You're already using an eye makeup remover, so why not use one that actually repairs and moisturizes your skin? Why not use a moisturizer that has more anti-aging ingredients than most specialty serums? This is the new skin care philosophy of Nicole Miller: to give your skin what it needs with each and every product. Every time you put on a Nicole Miller Skin Care product, you're getting something that's better than what you would find in the store. We call it ';skin care that exceeds your every expectation.';
mac is the most over rated cosmetic line. makeup forever is highly pigmented and vincent longo has amazing foundation
I would have to say Cover Girl and Revlon. I only use eye makeup because I have yet to find a foundation that wont break me out, but I like those too because the cover girl liquid liner with blast lash and the revlon color stay really bring out my eyes.
